Description
The function of the SSD in the VSP Cache Assembly is to serve as a back-up system to the Cache memory. If a power failure is detected, the information in the Cache memory is saved to the SSD. When power is restored, functionality can resume without interruption.
A secondary SSD may need to be installed in the assembly when upgrading to a large amount of Cache memory. This is done to provide additional back-up storage for the expanded amount of Cache.
